How to Declutter your Bedroom

A bedroom is a place where a person spends most part of the day when he is home and if that is not the case then he ends up there for sure to retire after a long, busy day.
If the bedroom is full of a mess then a person won’t feel fresh even after a good night’s sleep.
But no worries brace yourself for cool tips to declutter your bedroom effectively.
1. Clear off the nightstand:
- As days pass, we keep on piling odds and ends on top of our nightstand which includes watches, rings, other accessories, etc. Make it a habit to place all of these items in their designated area.
- To declutter your bedroom try by getting hold of cute little boxes and baskets for placing accessories.
2. Get rid of empty bottles:
We all want to beautify ourselves and look pretty as well as smell good. We keep on collecting bottles of crèmes, perfumes, powder, and the like. An important step to declutter your bedroom is to get rid of the bottles as soon as they get empty.
3. Where to place the shoes:
The shoes and sandals shall be placed neatly in a shoe-rack or place under the bed in the shoeboxes. If the shoes are broken or got old then get them removed.
4. Dirty Laundry:
- Mostly we roll up the dirty laundry into a pile and stack it either in the wardrobe, under the bed, or just in the corner of the room.
- Nowadays, there are a lot of dirty laundry collection boxes and containers available in all kinds of designs. Take one which you like and place it either in the corner of your bedroom or washroom and make it a habit to throw in all your dirty laundry in it. So, next time you won’t have to dive deep into a pile of clothes to find out your favorite pair of jeans or the white dress-shirt in which you look dapper.

5. Chest drawers:
- Place sorting containers in your drawers and get rid of stuff which you extra by donating it.
- Many times we already have nail polish or a particular shade of lipstick or a crunchy but as everything is stacked we tend to forget it.
- By using a sorting container everything will be visible at a clear eye level.
6.Wardrobe:
- Go through your wardrobe and make it into three piles:
- Those which you will use
- Those which you won’t use
- Those which is off-season
- Place the off-season ones in cartons or bags and place them under the bed, over the wardrobe, or in the attic.
- Donate that piece of clothing which you won’t use. It is not a good idea to keep storing a certain piece of clothing that is under-sized or over-sized for you.
- Those clothes which you are going to use place them neatly stacked in the wardrobe or hang them.
- Throw off extra or broken hangers.
- Hang the scarves on a scarf organizer.

7. Get hold of storage containing furniture:
- If you are always short of storage space then begin with purchasing storage containing furniture. Get beds with drawers, get an ottoman with drawers, etc.
- Ottoman can be used for sitting as well as the drawers can be used for storing shoes.
- A bed can be used for lying, sleeping, and relaxing and the drawers for placing the bed sheets, bed covers, and pillowcases.
8. Get a box to place purses:
- Get a cute little box big enough to place all your purses and bags neatly stacked.
- Throw off all the bags which have worn off and donate outdated ones or put them up for the next garage sale.
